We are creating and delivering programs that focus on entrepreneurship and innovation within the veterinary field. Two of our main activities are the Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy (www.vea.vet) and the Veterinary Innovation Summit (veterinaryinnovationsummit.com).

• Analyzing franchisee best practices to create management performance system, including a Levels of Mastery program to incentivize increased capabilities regarding hiring, coaching, motivation, sales, and team learning
• Developing and implementing a change management entrepreneurship and innovation framework for a Tier 1 research university’s veterinary program to incentivize more and faster commercialization of intellectual property
• Led a five person team to analyze an insurance company’s customer data to determine a communication strategy and barriers to entry of a flood coverage policy; no policies currently available in Canada
• Analyzed communication barriers and created a quarterly survey and restructured feedback committee for a franchise struggling with the franchisor-franchisee relationship; participants reported 100% success with changes
• Developed and implemented university-wide review of graduate student skills training program; wrote a strategy for responding to student job training needs and provided direction for new program chair
• Assisted development of the five-year strategic plan for a hospital network
