- Developer using DRMK, PERL, and JAVA scripting on team that created a first-to-market product which integrated EqualLogic Drive arrays into a redundant NAS system. I tracked multiple defects to resolution using BugZilla and the internal Dell BITS bug tracking tool.- Release Manager who executed weekly builds and releases for iDRAC using ClearCase as our source control software. Made sure that weekly builds were made available to testing teams.- Designed/implemented Blade/Server Power/Airflow Management, fault detection, and CPU/Storage presence algorithms using IPMI on the Faraday/ARM blade management controller for BMC/iDRAC. Programmed in C for embedded Linux RTOS for 10th and 11th generation Dell servers. This resulted in the most power efficient server on the market. In addition used gcc and gdb to create preliminary code on a Linux platform before hardware was available. This resulted in a zero bug count when firmware implementation occurred. - Created and Managed the RACADM Consortium Redesigned the RACADM CLI, which is the command line tool used to configure Dell servers. Doing this made the tool more simplified and thereby put Dell in a better position against competitor’s products. In addition I worked with the development team to make these changes utilizing ANSI C as the primary programming language.- Managed implementation of LDAP, Active Directory, CSR Generation, Certificate Upload features, and many more security related features into our management controller architecture to create one of the most secure management controllers on the market.

- Created a commercial website using ASP.NET and various other web technologies. The site used an SQL database and a customer login area which would allow the store owner to dynamically change the website contents. In addition I integrated the paypal library which would allow customers to buy items securely via credit card or paypal account.

- Designed Analog Buffered head voltage test for Grizzly (500 GB) drive using the C language.- Optimized PTP code for Sabre II (3GB/sec SATA) also using C.- Optimized firmware which preformed disk optimization prior to shipping drives to customers. Included Analog Buffered Head Voltage, TPI Encroachment, Side Erasure, Fly Height Calibration, MSE, and Write Current/Write Current Boost tests in C.- Updated track Feature sampling code for Kodiak (650 GB) drive, to work with Delphi SoC. Wrote statistics calculation code for sampled data using C.- Used drive tracking software (Reporter CEO) to pull and analyze data sets over large drive populations.- Designed firmware which loads configuration (ICB) files onto drives using C++.- Traveled to Singapore to analyze drive failures and issues in the factory.- Used XML Spy to write specifications describing firmware functionality. - Designed Embedded Firmware for Automated Meter Reading System using C language. This system is a wireless network, designed to report data from electric and gas meters to a server. X-gate and X-Node hardware were involved in the process. X-nodes were attached to the meters to collect data. The X-gate requests each node to report its data at a regular pulling interval, then stores the data in its file system and reports it to the server using a network interface which can be dialup modem, satellite modem, Ethernet, etc. - Designed the majority of firmware used in the X-gate and X-node system including an embedded File System used for storing data on the X-gate in C. - Designed and debugged majority of the TCP/IP stack and created protocols for it. These protocols include FTP server/client, PPP, IGMP, and UDP all written in C. - Developed a protocol for wireless transmission of data into which I integrated an encryption algorithm. Algorithm was implemented in C.- Designed Firmware Update code for this system in C. - Designed device drivers in C on the Atmel Mega 128 processor and used a JTAG emulator to debug and test this firmware. - Designed Test software for the X-gate/X-node system using TCL/TK.- Designed firmware in C for a device, which would communicate with kitchen appliances in McDonald’s restaurants and wrote an I2C driver to allow the device to communicate with a Garland Grill. - Designed a communication protocol in C to transfer data from the Scotsman Ice Machine to the Internet and used an ICE emulator to debug and test this firmware. - Worked on communications software for Freedom Pay. This project would allow a customer to use a vending machine with a user id and pin number. I integrated the AES (Rijndael) encryption algorithm into the communications protocol for this project. - Project: Keystone (Hewlett Packard’s 16-way server line). Wrote and tested the PCI Uart Driver for the Keystone mainframe. Driver was written for the vxWorks RTOS running on an ARM processor. Used C++ to write the firmware update code for this system and used a Jennie emulator to debug and test this firmware.

- Responsible for Y2K problem identification, correction, writing the test plan, alpha testing, beta testing, and writing the Functional specification for the General Motors Catalog publishing code. I read and corrected C++ code to correct for the new data parameter.- Created a Data Recovery Tool to capture lost information from monthly updates of the General Motors VIN/RPO raw data using TCL/TK and SQL. - General Motors Parts Catalog Database Manipulation in Oracle 7 CD creation/verification processes using TCL/TK and SQL.
