As the Manager of Ambulatory Applications department, I had responsibility for - hiring, performance management, organizational design, staff development, vendor management, program management, hosting relationship & P&L for private clinics on NextGen & eClinicalWorks, Physician Community relations with IT, new software intake/evaluation across IT, strategic planning, Ambulatory HIPAA compliance and managing a $1.4 million budget.Key Accomplishments include: Developed an internal ambulatory IT cost allocation process for departments by collaborating and negotiating with Ambulatory Clinics and Cardiology Leadership across the Healthcare System. Decreased clinic administrative tasks by two hours per day by connecting an electronic lab orders/results system for 60% of the community physician EMR offices. Successful attestation for 3 years for Meaningful Use & MACRA at 44 clinics, ~350 providers, for both owned and private practices.

As a Sr. Systems Analyst/PACS Administrator/Team Lead I had responsibility for implementing new software and solutions, maintaining existing software and solutions as well as maintaining end-users relationships within the departments I was a liaison for. At different times this included multiple Emergency Departments, Urgent Care, Radiology, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiac Diagnostic Suite and the Cath Lab. I supported Cerner Firstnet, Dragon Medical, Cerner Core, SyngoDynamics, SyngoVia, Radnet and Clinical Reporting XR.Key accomplishments during this time included leading the IS Technology Committee as Chairman through a restructure which created a pillar for connecting IS with its customer base through the Technology Fair and user-focused device selection. I coordinated the selection & replacement of ED Doctor's PC's resulting in a case study on the effectiveness of the solution by the vendor. I led the evaluation, selection & implementation of Fairwarning HIPAA Auditing Solution in addition to getting the vendor Meaningful Use Certified with Cerner. Through the Cardiology Enterprise Information Collaboration project, I was able to eliminate 100% of dictation costs by Cardiologists, standardized reporting across departments and allowed image viewing from anywhere in the world. This saved Cardiologists from having to travel at night to the hospital to consult on imaging questions.

CernerWorks - Systems Engineer/Production Owner Global Team As a Systems Engineer, I was in charge of managing non-production domains on VMS, AIX & HPUX which included domain creation, troubleshooting, and training other Systems Engineers. Some of my key accomplishments during this time included developing & implementing a better way to train an influx of new Systems Engineers by creating weekly training and education sessions that allowed for faster assimilation of knowledge while capturing that knowledge for future groups to learn from. This process was then adopted across all groups within our 180 person organization as a standard. I also actively participated in recruiting events at my alma mater.
