Forest Gump may have seen life as a box of chocolates, but I see life much more like a grand game of chess.Chess is a game of vision. Oftentimes people's vision and their steps to achieving them don't line up. I love that the skills that I have as a unit coordinator are some of the same skills that make for a strong project manager (or vision realization expert, it just sounds way more fun!). My background may tell you that I have my degree, or that I'm a unit coordinator, that I'm an active volunteer, or regularly engaged in my community but what you'd miss is my vision. Vision is an important part of coordinating. It is the road map to where you will end up after having completed any series of tasks. Getting from one to two may seem simple, but what about when you consider the decimals? That molehill just grew into quite the mountain. Realizing a vision is no easy task, it takes careful planning, time or schedule management, and excellent communication but most of all it requires focus on the vision. I love helping teams, individuals, and organizations achieve the seemingly insurmountable. Leveraging my skills in building cross-functional teams, critical thinking, time management, and coordinating teams I know that realizing a vision is not a matter of if, but when.
