All members of the student council of the Faculty of Economics and Business Adminstration of Ghent University participate in discussions and debates with students, professors and assistents of the School to create better study conditions and experiences for the students at the School.

With a team of 11 students, we are responsible for bringing students with economic interests and companies closer together. We do this by organizing events such as the UGent Business Game, Company Meet & Greet, Compentence Night and the VEK Career Day. The VEK Career Day is a job fair, located at the ICC in Ghent, with +140 participating partners and +1250 attending students. Furthermore, VEK Recruitment provides different branding and communication possibilities for companies.

Yucca is the official student's bar of the VEK, managed exclusively by and for students. Together with the rest of the team, I also oversaw the reopening of our bar after more than 2 years of renovating. This was very challenging because we had to start from scratch.I was responsible for managing the stock, maintenance of the building, and general logistics of the bar. Furthermore, I managed 100+ volunteers and maintained relationships with customers, suppliers, local police, and the neighbourhood.

I'm part of the board of a student association. The purpose of my position is to offer students additional educational value beyond their studies at the university. This can range from lectures and workshops to the organization of a large exam fair that helps first year students.This is combined with a lot of other, general work in cooperation with my other 'colleagues' of the praesidium.

Our goal is to accommodate international students coming to study at the faculty of Economics and Business Administration and students who want to study abroad. Together with our faculty we help these students with their classes and exams but we also make sure they get the most out of their semester abroad.
