SHAD is a summer enrichment program for grade 10 and 11 students interested in STEAM and entrepreneurship. During my month-long SHAD experience at the University of Waterloo, I learned more about innovation through attending daily lectures by industry-leading businesspeople. Along with a group of like-minded learners, I explored the use of machine learning to correct the sleep schedules of adolescents, crafting an equitable business model, and presented our product through hours of back-to-back elevator pitches.
