Main team lead for research and GIS asset mapping related to the electric power/utility industry. Partial duties also include similar work but related to the oil and gas sector. Results of research are used to populate our ArcGIS platform as well as our back-end SQL database that houses prevalent asset attribute information. Examples of utilized research resources include FERC, EIA, EPA, NPMS and other available public and private sector data as well as news alerts. In addition, I work with our internal sales division on any incoming client needs/feedback for continued product development and improvements.

Worked with multiple databases related to commercial and industrial utility accounts. Duties include data management and processing, checking thousands of accounts for accuracy and basic administrative duties.

Nonprofit consumer group focused on a balanced energy policy with affiliates representing energy consumers and various aspects of the energy industry (both conventional and alternative energy). Duties include directing social network activities, participating in energy discussions within the industry, assisting with forum events, conducting research on all aspects of the energy sector and assisting with daily operations within the organization. Special projects consisted of collaborating on a publication that aimed at promoting energy efficiency towards both the private and public sectors, as well as assisting with website development. In addition, I helped organize the 2010 Bodø University Arctic Study resources dialogue as well as assisting with the Geopolitics course taught through Bodø University.

Worked with the graduate business center in transcribing texts related to discussions on Arctic resources and assisting with guest lectures. I was also selected to research and give reports on the ripple effects of natural resource extraction from areas primarily in Norway and the U.S. More specifically, the research sought to find a quantifiable definition of ripple effects that involved economic, social, and environmental costs.
