As an employment officer at the T2 Academy i have several responsibilities. The main core of my role is working with our young learner's identifying what there long term career goals are and finding them a suitable work placement to get the experience needed to prepare them for employment. This involves building working relationships with employers from all sectors to place learners within there companies to gain real working experience. We always aim to place the learner in the area they wish to have a career meaning i deal with a massive range of sectors. Part of this mean's i am also trained to carry out health and safety assessments checking the company and the premises are safe for our young people to be placed. The other side to my role is working direct with our young people in the aspects of employment so this includes: Help with writing CV's and making them role specific, Interview preparation and technique's, Career guidance and help with application and job searches.

I was responsible for the recruitment of apprenticeships for Wales. Recruiting in the sectors of health and social care, Child care and business administration. Leasing with employers to develop long term relationships. As we also deliver the apprenticeships I would also have to set up the course sign up dates, leasing with the employer and are Initial guidance consultants. I would also attend outreach as a way of advertising T2 group apprenticeships. Usually handling a caseload of 15-25 vacancies, as well as around 20-30 learners seeking apprenticeships.

Started as an apprentice Sports coach i worked to Senior Sports coach gaining an abundance of experience and achievements. As a senior coach i was responsible for running holiday camps and a team of coaches to deliver a range of different activities, with up to 40 children. Running of activity day's in schools including Sport's days, Enrichment days, PE Lessons. Co-ordinating a team of coaches for these activities with numbers ranging from 20-300 children. I would also attend and run birthday party sessions as well delivering a range of activities to meet the children's needs. Finally i was also involved with the training of staff and help with staff development and building new relationships with new clients.
