About Aaron Ni

Hello! My name is Aaron Ni. I was born and raised in Indiana and am currently majoring in computer science at Purdue University. Although I’m a computer science major, I also love the arts. Whether it be music, literature, traditional art, digital art, or even video games, I always love learning about the processes, stories, and people behind them. It was actually through video games that first got me interested in computer science, and although not my main focus anymore, game development is always something I like to come back to in my free time. Right now, I mainly specialize in app development, web development, and have been investing more into learning more about low level systems. I've also been learning more about system administration and networking on my homelab I maintain on my own hardware at home.I know programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, C, and am experienced with technologies such as Flutter, React, and Unity. I also specialize in graphic design and create 3D environments, animations, and art in Blender. My current goals are to put more time in learning new languages such as Go and spending more time with low-level and embedded systems. I would also like to delve into more personal projects around my interests in software development. My hope is to land a summer software engineering internship where I get the chance to work in a team-based environment and expand my skillset to prepare myself for a future professional career.I always like to meet new people, so feel free to connect if you want to chat or discuss new opportunities!

Computer Science Club or CS Club is a place for people interested in CS to learn, share, and be involved in a community that shares a common interest: computer science. We teach things ranging from web dev, app dev, game dev, general coding, and computer hardware.I initially started out as a member of the FHS Computer Science Club during my freshman year of High School. After my first year, I began taking up a leadership role in the club, organizing meetings, and planning out lessons. I coordinated between club sponsors, teachers, and other students to create an environment where people of all skill levels could get together and learn new topics.
