Electrical & Instrumentation Senior Project Engineer
CurrentThe Convert Project involves the replacement of five (5) Gas Turbines powering HUB Compressors with Electric Drives and related infrastructure. The key business drivers for the Convert Project include:• Additional gas sales through using electricity rather than gas to meet compression energy requirements;• Lower life cycle maintenance, fuel and operating costs for electric driven compression; and• Reliability, availability and efficiency benefits of electric driven compression.Employed as an E&I Senior Project Engineer for the Convert Project, core role deliverables included (but were not limited to):• Safety management and implementation• Design guidance, support and development including progress monitoring and management• Technical input into procurement including support during execution and management of the procurement process to delivery• Subcontractor management and co-ordination functions including technical support during construction, quality, contracts, claims, variations, audits etc• Quality systems and process implementation and management• Project schedule management and reporting including look-ahead planning• Package engineering, contract variation assessments, Management of Change (MoC), completions and handover • Gas detection and instrumentation, power and communications upgrades, LV systems, EEHA compliance, lighting, lightning protection and earthing systems, modifications to transmission systems and various site facilities, as well as providing a range of other EI&C engineering design support services across the site • Conducted daily site visits to ensure E&I construction works were completed as per schedule, budget, HSEQ and contractual obligations, as well as to provide E&I engineering support, review and approve QA/QC documentation, and provide technical pre-commissioning and commissioning assistance for installed equipment
