Project Manager for General Contractor's successful completion of NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority Water Remediation Contract (A-37707), in Subway Stations and Tunnels.Design Build contract; As Project Manager, I was at every site inspection with the MTA team and local Subway Station and Tunnel staff or various Capital Projects teams. We reviewed all defects to assess the discharge points, probable source of the leaks, other concerns. Reviewed the findings with EN-TECH's Engineering team and then draft and submit a Work Plan for each location. Bi-weekly schedule in coordination with MTA Project team, as well as coordinating Emergency Work and shift changes to accomodate MTA operational concerns like access and flagging.On-site review of Work Plans with our construction Project Supervisor. Daily site visits with crew, including review of construction progress; Mobilization, site protection, work access, each drill hole location angle and depth, substrate condition, product being injected, pump pressure, discharge points, communication, cleanup, and demobilization. Submitted daily reports each shift to the MTA. Worked closely with our Safety Manager on each shift on every aspect including working safely around the public on active Subway platforms, work access with scaffolds and ladders on active Subway platforms, hazards, and environmental concerns. Working in Subway Tunnels included access via General Order with flaggers and work trains, while working safely around electrical and other hazards.Worked with our Quality Management team to document all shipping/receiving, inspection of our yards/warehouses/trucks, material handling & storage, etc. Quality Work Plans included our construction Hold Points which were signed off in coordination with our MTA Inspector daily. Our project completed quarterly Quality reviews with MTA C&D Senior Quality Manager.Closeout May 15th 2024 with MTA signoff of 42 jobs in 31 Subway Stations and Tunnels.
Grouting Inspector - East Side Access - Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Mta)
Remedial chemical grouting and waterproofing for 3 miles of tunnels and facilities of a new mass transit route bringing Long Island Railroad passengers into Grand Central Station from Queens, New York.With our construction management team, we identify all areas of water infiltration and develop remediation plans for the contractor to execute. This includes walkthrough inspections of tunnels and facilities from Grand Central Station, to the East Side, Roosevelt Island, and Long Island City Queens. Developing water infiltration reports and daily check-ins at locations to keep track of intermittent leaks. We coordinate site access, work schedules, and plan work access via High Rail Platform Trucks, Confined Space, or Scaffolding.On site daily inspections of work being performed with the contractor. Including:- Drilling locations, drilling angles, and depths - Chemical grout used, mixture ratio, mixing procedure, etc.- Pump pressure and injection strategies- Waterproofing system grouting procedures: Remedial Grouting Tubes and Fuko Hoses- Photo and written documentation of all work performed; Time & materials- Supplemental reporting as needed of any new water infiltration- Reporting any other issues encountered on site for review by ESA's General Engineering ConsultantWriting a daily Remedial Grouting Report for the MTA and our partner organizations including maps and detailed work locations, time & quantity of materials, work progress, and water infiltration status. Photos of everything with clear descriptions.Additional responsibilities include verification / signoff on behalf of the MTA for all crew members' hours, equipment, and materials used.
