Provided technical and analytical support within the Office of the Secretary of Defense to support the sustainment of the national strategic deterrent and nuclear weapons stockpile. Supported building partner capacities aligned with interagency efforts to prevent nuclear terrorism and proliferation by managing compliance of international treaties and mutual defense agreements with key allies. Performed research and analysis support to contribute to the preparation and development of joint, annual DoD/DOE reports on the nuclear stockpile for delivery to the Executive Branch and/or Congress. Prepared papers, staff summaries, and briefings concerning, or relating to, the policy, management, research, development, deployment, transportation, safety, security, storage, and training for the stewardship of nuclear weapons.

Researched, responded to, and supported actions resulting from OSD, Joint Staff, and Air Force taskings; including drafting responses to inquiries, conducting research and reviewing documents, providing policy and guidance, consulting other SMEs as required by MAJCOMs/other agencies, and drafting point papers and briefings. Identified, analyzed, and researched emerging issues in all mission areas relating to proliferation prevention, active defense, passive defense, counterforce, and consequence management. Reviewed, analyzed, and coordinated DoD, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, Air Force, MAJCOM, and other agency/Service CWMD documents and programs, and assisted in preparing division and/or directorate responses to these documents. Provided ongoing CWMD and CBRN Defense support in order to conduct analyses, research current and relevant issues, and assist in developing strategies and courses of action that meet client goals and objectives.

Provided strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and program management support services for executive-level clients serving in DHS. Coordinated and promoted cross-division integration between government and commercial entities to create a collaborative environment focused on developing strategy and innovating capabilities designed to protect the public against threats at home and abroad. Conducted research and business case development in support of client mission and goals concentrated on developing emerging technologies, communicating new policies to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with federal legislation, and analyzing large data sets to examine new threats within the DHS security ecosystem. Developed briefing presentations, options papers, and Public Affairs Guidances for senior clients on issues relating to domestic security and explosives threat detection in cooperation with government partners to increase transparency between the public and private sectors.

Conducted research and analysis to produce briefings, backgrounders, and reports for Policy Directors on national security issues; such as domestic intelligence and countering violent extremism, U.S. Arctic policy, and safeguarding critical infrastructure. Assisted with logistics for policy meetings, report launchings, and other BENS events connecting executive-level business professionals with government partners (e.g., DoD, Intelligence Community, CEOs, company presidents). Edited deliverables and reports from the policy team for BENS members before publication and dissemination, and drafted “read aheads packages” for BENS executives prior to engagements with government partners.
