Duties include, reading and interpreting X-ray(RFI). Building reports for Fitting records, finding and locating MTR’s(Material Testing Report). Responsible for scheduling outside NDE inspections. Along with duties listed above I was responsible for training all new NDE inspectors and main point of contact for NDE group. I also perform, PT (Penetrant Testing) and MT (Magnetic Particle Testing). Perform hardness testing with Starrett Portable Hardness Tester. Perform PMI (Positive Material Identification) with PMI-Master Pro. I have contact with outside customers, inspectors, and vendors as well as internal customers. Visual inspection of weld workmanship. Daily duties also include conducting weld tests with as part of the hiring process with new weld applicants. Report any findings that are not compliant by creating NCR’s.(Non-conformance reports).

Part of the field services group.Responsible for field removal and installation of high pressure feed-water heat exchangers at Coal fire and Nuclear Power Plants. Other duties include direct contact with customers, management, quality auditors, engineers, outside inspectors and vendors. Visual and NDE test inspection to weld workmanship, DR-discrepancy reporting.
