About Aaron Roark

I worked for the Madison County School district for over two years, and have gained invaluable experience from working with other professionals in my field. Although my job description listed duties more in line with those of a computer technician, I was assigned to work with the Networking team many times during my employment. My experience from working with hardware in both the classroom and on the job have given me the confidence and inside perspective that I need to pursue a career in Network Engineering. From general Computer Repair to Network and Networking Device troubleshooting, I have expanded my knowledge and experience with enterprise level technology immensely from my time with Madison County Schools. Prior to working for Madison County Schools, I worked for Somerset Community College in the IT department. There I shadowed under IT professionals who helped in giving me a lot of hands on experience with the computer and networking systems used on-campus. I was introduced to Electronics repair during my employment, as many computer systems were repaired in-house. The experience gained from my time here helped me to make the decision to pursue a degree in Network Security & Electronics.Before my employment as a computer technician, I operated a Computer Repair Shop along-side my family's business. There I gained invaluable interpersonal skills from working with customers and giving technical advice to visitors. My four years of performing this kind of work was inspired by a personal love for computers and technology as a whole. I have been fascinated by computers and solving problems with technology since I was a child. Developing professional relationships with customers and local businesses in my home town gave me insight on how to conduct myself in a professional business setting. After my time spent helping those in my home town, I made the decision to turn my passion for computers into a life-long career.
