• Conducted quantitative and qualitative research analyzing the impact of public policy on racial inequality, voter turnout, and public opinion, leading to the publication of one university press book, numerous.

• Designed and taught classes on American politics, state and local politics, public policy, and race and politics at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

• Conducted survey research using logistic, negative binomial, and ordinary least squares regression models, combining this with ethnographic research and 58 in-depth interviews to produce my dissertation.
