About Aaron Rothmeyer
At the end of my years at Iowa State University, I was awarded my bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering with emphases in semiconductors and controls. Shortly thereafter, I began my professional life at a midwestern distributor of industrial automation equipment known as Power/mation. The role I filled there gave me something that college did not: hands-on experience with actual products and applications across a wide variety of industries.Eventually, I decided to take a leap and move my family from Iowa to Minnesota in order to take a position at SICK, Inc. As a former distributor of SICK products, the company was at the top of my list for dynamic and innovative places to work. In addition, it allowed me to make use of my acquired skills: supporting and promoting fantastic automation equipment.
