I provide QC testing for In-Process Manufacturing and water quality (DI/RO/WFI) for plant operations. Primary assays/duties include: testing for Endotoxin concentrations, determining column elution yields, total organic carbon determination and Mycoplasma detection. Aside from my main functions I also hold active roles in: -Change Control Management (facilitating major/minor changes in critical systems) -Lab Safety Representative through the EHS department (perform weekly and monthly safety checks of work environments and employee behavior. -Documentation technical writer (produce and carry out laboratory investigation reports regarding discrepancies in the testing and/or reporting process(es))

My contributions focused on: method development, sample preparation and testing/reporting of Mercury (Hg) concentrations in consumer seafood. The use of Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy was used to determine analyte levels in units of ppb. This work was associated with an interdisciplinary project with the Environmental Science Resource Management (ESRM) and Biochemistry departments in order to better categorize the safety of seafood from various international sources.
