 Patrol, observe, and monitor residences, parks, businesses, and streets to check forcriminal activity and conduct investigations/make arrests as appropriate. Observes traffic and enforces violations. Communicate with victims, suspects, and witnesses to gather and provide information regarding a crime. Use technology to search for and analyze evidence of crimes that involve digital devices and social media.  Complete all reports, paperwork, and documents necessary to the patrol deputy position, including, but not limited to, incident reports, accident reports, evidence forms, traffic and ordinance tickets. Write affidavits for, and serve search warrants, subpoenas, or other court orders. Appear and testify in court in criminal or civil matters.  As Field Training Officer: train new and lateral officers in department operations and procedures and serve as front line supervisor for the officer in training.  As SWAT Team Entry and Sniper: Responds to critical incidents involving threats to public safety and serving high risk warrants that would exceed the capability to first responders.  As Tactical Instructor in multiple disciplines: Develop and deliver training modules, provide functional work guidance to assist coworkers in their career safety and development, and evaluate the effectiveness of training.  Performed daily supervision of inmates and enforced rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and orderly corrections facility.  Handled both emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
