About Aaron Schultz
Senior Lecturer at Deakin University with over 15 years of tertiary teaching and research experience in the fields of environmental toxicology, cell biology and physiology. Driven by a passion for protecting the health of marine and freshwater environments, Dr Schultz’s research assesses emerging pollutant levels (microplastics, agrichemicals and nanomaterials) in aquatic environments and sheds light on their toxicity risk. This includes determining mechanisms of toxicity to ecologically important aquatic species and developing mitigation strategies to protect our blue planet. Passionate about science communication and outreach, and the education and mentorship of the next generation of scientists.
