As the maintenance carpenter, I was required to fix any minor or major maintenance issues that have been delegated to Just Maintenance this included, door lock repairs on various lock wood and other brands, door closer repairs, hinge replacement or adjustments, door repairs, concreting repairs, installation of new cabinetry, tile repairs, stainless steel replacement, patching holes and fixing damaged walls. The other aspect of my role was to be involved in the renovation / office fit outs with in the company this included – framing new partition walls, install new cabinets, sheeting walls and plastering, install new doors and jambs, finish off shop fronts with cladding or stainless steel, tiling, complete office demolition and refurbishment, installation of ceiling tiles and counters for different jobs. My role as you can see was mainly commercial work and was a wide range of different work, I have learnt and helped excel within the company to achieve all timelines I was given to help achieve a good and neat finish. My duties were vast across the company from doing insurance repairs including – ceiling repairs and walls (Hanging and Plastering.), kitchen repairs and renovations, new doors, water damage including bathroom repairs and stripping out water damaged walls and replacing. Concreting repairs and new paths doing after hour calls for make safe and inspection on damaged properties. Roof inspections and repairs, tile repairs. The other part of the company was QLD Housing which is government which included variety of works being Vacant Property Works including – plaster walls and holes , ceiling repairs , new doors and furniture , window repairs and locks , tiling , vanity installation , Architrave installation and repairs , floor upgrades and repairs , deck upgrades and new stairs and hand rails , then small jobs including new wall furniture including soap holders , toilet roll holders , towel rails , cupboard hanging rails , also hinge repairs and installation on kitchen cupboards and vanities . Other works carried out were new carports, bathroom renovations, new concrete pathways, garden repairs, also outside repairs including brick repairs, new soffits and gables, ramp upgrades and handrails. As you can see the works in this company were quiet a variety and I have managed to be able to complete these works to competent level plus learn quiet few new skills which also helps in any trade, but overall have completed work to leave a satisfied customer which always the goal having neat work and keeping it very tidy.
