I am one of the AGM's responsible for a couple of shifts and predominantly the Lean Replenishment functions, but due to the growth of the business essentially have a 4-wall operation.

Responsible for the warehouse operations for the warehousing team within the Easton facility located in Columbus, Ohio. This was a start-up facility (for Exel) as Exel assumed responsibility of supply chain logistics and operations of the d.c. in April, 2011. We provide logistical services of the movement of product throughout the DC utilizing PKMS – Manhattan warehouse management that is integrated with pick-to-light and put-to-light lightning pick applications. This includes 20-25% of all outbound volume being personalized by the monogramming department of which is operated by Thirty-One Gifts. The DC’s operation employs 200 Exel associates as well as 400 Thirty-One Gifts employees.

Provided managerial leadership to a team of 50+ union and non-union warehouse employees within a production/distribution facility which produces 25+ million cases of beverage products annually. I was responsible for ensuring that there is enough product (approximately 40k – 60k cases per day) available for the daily load out to the in-store customers. This also encompasses managing it’s own cost center (inclusive of it’s own P&L) separate from the other departments within the facility with the largest impact elements as labor, facility sanitation, and equipment repairs.

I was responsible for warehouse operations during the opening and steady-state of the Exel-ABB facility beginning in June, 2008. We operated in a 144k square foot facility encompassing a daily inventory value of 20 million dollars in electrical components. The ABB site employs a total of 70 non-exempt warehouse employees, supervisors and office personnel to ship approximately 450 orders and 1500 lines per day utilizing Red Prairie warehouse management application. This equated to $800k to $1-million in daily sales within these shipments. Our operating team achieved and accomplished 365 injury-free working days in September, 2009.

- Utilized forecasting data to set up a daily dispatch by driver in stop for stop order for a center with seventy assigned drivers covering approximately five-thousand miles per day.- Performed route observation rides to minimize miles and the driver hours on the road while maximizing the number of delivery stops per car.- Handled intensive labor issues with the union while conducting disciplinary hearings between the company and the business agents from the Teamsters Union.- Responsible for an array of diverse assignments over nine years, including supervising as many as 100 union hourly employees and five part time supervisors to my direct report.- Conducted focus meetings with hourly union employees to address concerns and or communication breakdowns.
