Systems Engineering: Over 15 years of black box full system chassis development complementing a career of chassis structural component development. Over 11 years of platform architecture and full vehicle development including systems integration as well as systems engineering. Experience includes the development of platform strategies and vehicle layouts of key functional systems to achieve all program attributes and market segment compatibility. The strategies include optimizing carryover of key components and systems as well as modification plans to minimize vehicle impact and achieve a cohesive multi-vehicle platform approach. Development experience of almost all suspension types as well as packaging development of full powertrain systems including tradition ICE, Diesel, CNG, Hybrid & Full EV including all driveline and powertrain system layouts and the vehicle structure modifications required for system carryover and integration. Experience is also coupled with in-depth involvement in crash, roll-over and aerodynamics to meet vehicle level requirements. Leadership Experience:Almost 4 years of Global Director experience coordinating work for Design Engineers internationally as well as guiding system teams. Over 12 years’ experience being responsible for the day-to-day activities of groups of Design Engineers. Software and Systems Experience:Catia V5, NX, Ideas/SDRC, Autodesk Inventor, Altair Hypermesh/Optistruct/MotionView/Hyperform, Abaqus, ProductView, 3Dexperience, Teamcenter, Jira, VisView Digital Buck software and Microsoft office applications. Component Design Experience:Frames, sub-frames, suspension modules and components (control arms, knuckles, shock clevis, suspension links, ball joints), test f ixtures used to test each and various other components throughout the vehicle. Design experience ranges throughout all vehicle systems ranging through guidance given while leading entire vehicle engineering teams down to direct creation of component designs. CAE Analysis Experience: Linear, Non-Linear, Fatigue, Topography Optimization, Multi-body Dynamics with Flex bodies Design for Manufacturing Experience:Stampings, Castings, Forgings (Steel, Iron, Aluminum), extrusions (aluminum), injection mold. GD&T and Detailing Experience:Set up and detailed full GD&T for each level of every part in assembly for each of the above components (casting, machined part, assembly; single stamping, weldment, assembly; suspension module assembly).
