DoltHub is building Dolt, a SQL database with Git-like functionality, including clone, branch, merge, push and pull. I work on the storage engine, the SQL engine and the infrastructure that powers dolthub.com.

Worked on infrastructure, iOS and Android, largely in Java and Objective-C. Worked on messaging infrastructure, state synchronization protocols and primitives, internal performance benchmarking and attribution, media optimization and delivery, real-time communication for chat and games, batch processing infrastructure and security initiatives including credentials attenuation, mTLS, and end-to-end encryption. Helped grow the engineering team from ~15 to > 2,000, including hiring senior management, senior ICs and hiring and evaluation loops for strategic acquisitions. Reported to the VP of engineering.

Built backend systems, services, websites and developer tools, largely in Java, Perl and C++. Four years on Amazon's internal build system, Brazil, including artifact storage, caching, resolution and deployment, task execution systems for running builds, metadata storage and modeling of software build and runtime dependencies. One year on Amazon.com core customer identity storage and service layer, largely on a microservice for maintaining materialized clustered covering indexes for core customer data like address books. Two years on a team responsible for retail website latency and availability, where we built tools to support benchmarking, performance attribution, root cause analysis, and best practices auditing and enforcement.
