As a Public Health Nutritionist at Kern County, I have over six years of experience in providing nutrition education and counseling to high-risk women and children, as well as supervising and coordinating several clinic sites and programs. My mission is to improve the health and well-being of the community through evidence-based interventions and advocacy.I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Des Moines University, with a focus on Nutrition and Population Health, and I am a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). I also have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Nutrition Sciences from California State University, Fresno. I am semi-fluent in Spanish and have a ServSafe food handlers certification. Additionally, I serve as an adjunct professor at Bakersfield College, where I share my knowledge and passion for public health nutrition with the next generation of professionals.
