Repair, maintain and construct overhead and underground distribution lines. I am competent at writing and performing switching orders. I act as the operating authority when any switching is done my area. I do routine safety inspections on myself and the contract crews working for Sandridge. I am the first responder to power alarms and outages, and I am able to find any fault on the system and get it back to good working order in a timely manner.

Enid, Oklahoma Area

While working for Patriot Solutions I built, repaired and maintained power lines owned by Sandridge Energy. My basic job duties included troubleshooting circuit outages. Replacing or installing power line equipment such as cutouts, lightning arrestors, transformers, cross arms, power poles, anchors, hook switches, secondary services, breakers, disconnects. I was also involved with several storm jobs, Oklahoma’s tornado season kept me busy picking up downed power lines and replacing burned up equipment. My safety record at Patriot Solutions was really good, I never had a recordable accident or injury. I decided to leave Patriot Solutions when Sandridge Energy offered me an Area Lineman job.

South Sudan

I worked in Kapoeta and Maridi, South Sudan; training and assisting the local people on how to build and maintain a power system. We built the generator house, installed and wired up the generators. Built an 8 pole substation using six, 167 KVA transformers as step up transformers. This fed about 20 miles of power lines and secondary services that we installed; providing power to the local market and people living in and around town. This was a government funded short term job. I mainly went to work here just to have the experience of living out of the country.

Rapid City, South Dakota Area

Transmission Line construction. Digging holes, setting poles, pulling wire, stringing conductor, clipping conductor to the power poles and dead ending conductor. Also installed gang switches and fiber optics line. Operated bucket trucks, forklifts, skidsteers, skidders, pressure diggers and cranes.
