Coordinated with senior leadership to understand goals, training objectives and operational requirements and made plans of action to implement those requirements within the organization.

142nd Military Intelligence Battalion (Linguist); 300th Military Intelligence Brigade (Linguist)Responsible for the command’s Resiliency Program. Provided program guidance and set goals and objectives for the Resiliency Program. Monitored the status of tasks and projects assigned, adjusted priorities and suspenses accordingly. Reviewed the unit-level work and standard operating procedures for overall effectiveness, clarity, and conciseness. Provided input to help develop and implement the Commander’s training plan to ensure command and units were properly trained. Responsible for conducting informational or decision briefings on the Resiliency Program policies and providing oversight to the units to ensure the Resiliency Program adheres to all regulations. Developed and standardized monthly resiliency newsletters for distribution to subordinate units enabling commonality of training.

Utah Army National Guard G2Served as the full-time G-2 NCOIC and Utah Foundry Platform Operations NCO supervising budget, instructor selection/qualification, ATRRS input, and course development. Served as the State SIGINT Operations NCO and coordinated with NSA and NGB to support live environment training and operations in support of national mission. Assisted the Special Security Officer in the supervision of the operations and security functions of SCI facilities (SCIFs). Managed SCI personnel, information, physical, and technical security actions and procedures in accordance with SCI regulations. Served as the leader representative from Utah for the Foundry program on the Army National Guard Foundry Working Group. Managed the budget for the G2 and its various funds in excess of $750,000 annually in multiple accounts.

300th Military Intelligence Brigade (Linguist)Responsible for Annual Training management: managed and tracked all AT plans for Brigade Soldiers; AFAM tracking and management: forecasted all training and resource requirements; TACITS forecasting; Orders QC and submission; Reconciled unliquidated funds; provided budget oversight to subordinate battalions. Managed Overseas Deployment Trainings, including the budget, coordinating with Combat Commands throughout the world to fulfill over 500 personnel annually to various training exercises, and all foreign travel requirements for the supporting Soldiers. Additionally managed the Schools and AT budget. Served as the Brigade Anti-Terrorism Officer; Brigade Resilience Program Manager and Master Resiliency Trainer.

Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion (Linguist)Served as the senior enlisted leader to the commander of a Military Intelligence Company with an authorized strength of 96 Soldiers. Mentored senior noncommissioned officers and officers in leadership techniques based upon clear communication and understanding to ensure training, administration, professional development, personnel accountability, safety, morale, and mentoring of all assigned Soldiers; set and enforced high standards of conduct, professional development, and physical readiness. Ensured all Soldiers in the company were proficient in Army tactical skills, ensuring technical knowledge at the lowest level. Assisted the commander in planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities that supported the unit’s mission; promoted community awareness and support for the Army and its recruiting goals.
