• Successfully trained and qualified of 105 midshipmen in small boat handling, basic seamanship, and navigation.
• Commissioning Officer responsible for the commissioning process of 325 midshipmen to include commissioning physicals, career selection, and course validation.
• Routinely deconflicted schools for all three schools when it came to Naval ROTC events.
• Spent last 6 months as the senior manager of the Norfolk State University detachment. Oversaw the training and development of 43 midshipmen.

Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 28 - Norfolk, VA

• Division Officer. Led a team of 39 sailors in the daily maintenance of 12 MH-60s both at home or while deployed as well as overseen their personal qualifications. Trained in helicopter tactics and operations to acquire.
• Developed and implemented a system from simplifying the logging of maintenance and flight records to reduce the error rates between the two systems down to less than 1%.
• Responsible for flying aircraft after major maintenance to ensure the quality of maintenance and safe for flight.
• Enforce safety regulations to minimize impact to the maintenance schedule and ensure aircraft are safe for flight.
• Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that aircraft are ready for operation.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
