I experienced poverty before during my childhood. My parents were both bankrupt due to failed family business. This somehow build the foundation for my passion and talent in community development work. My first taste of community development work was in 2009 where I stay into rural villages in Cambodia, building toilets together with local villages and craftsman.That experience is life changing which eventually leads me to become a social entrepreneur.Fast forward to 2017, I setup a social enterprise hiring person with disability as cooks. Our current strategic is to build a community and support person with disabiity with better career longevity in the F & B sector.In the same year, 2017, I also setup a non-profit, Cycling Without Age Singapore with a mission to bring joy to seniors and engage them in happy hours of community activities to reduce social isolation. Till date we have scaled from a non profit to a small charity with IPC status and have served more than 20,000 seniors. Our current strategic direction is to collaborate with stakeholders and jointly share resources to create sustainable social impact with seniors - adding more life to their remaining years.
