-The Tucson Village Farm is a program of the Pima County Cooperative Extension and University of Arizona that is focused on connecting youth to a healthy food system. -I have spent time volunteering with garden care and teaching a healthy food, healthy living course to youth.

-As a Desk Assistant I ran the front desk at Coronado and Coconino Residence Halls.-I ensured hall security, provided courteous customer service, and enforced University policies. -Working as a Desk Assistant gave me unique opportunities to interact with students at the U of A that I normally would not see and develop special relationships.

-As a Supplemental Instruction Leader for CHEM 151, a difficult chemistry course, I met weekly with Dr. Zacher, the professor whose class I was assigned to and developed strategies for student success. -Planned and led hour long review sessions three times each week for students looking for help with content in CHEM 151.-Learned collaborative learning.

-During my time with the Borgen Project I worked contacting the three congress members in my district, scheduling meetings with them, mobilizing my community, fundraising, and learning an incredible amount about the importance of development as means of improving the quality of life of people in underdeveloped areas.
