At PA Virtual, I teach 9th grade Keystone Literature to classes of 30-35 students in an entirely virtual format. I deliver engaging lessons that captures and develops students' interests, while on the same hand, I am creating an all-inclusive and fun environment for students to thrive in. My goal with each class is to identify the students' needs on an individual basis and provide them the support they need to achieve a high level of literacy.I also deliver the same class through an asynchronous format where students work at their own pace and do not meet for live classes.In year two, I had the opportunity to practice leadership and present some of my classroom strategies to my newer colleagues. I hope to continue building upon practices like these and what we can do in the classroom to better the school as a whole.

Delivered quality lessons both in-person and remotely to classes of 17-22 students in an 11th grade English course. Diversified lessons for honors-level, academic-level, and students with individualized educational plans. Created full-length units and took complete control of the classroom from January to COVID shutdown (Mid-March). Afterwards, delivered a variety of creative online assessments over Google Classroom to the students until the EOY in May. Received exemplary status for the duration of the internship and subsequently received for the Lois High Berstler Scholarship from the College of Education after a nomination by the cooperating teacher.

Tutored ESL students at the Hazleton ONE Community Center through a program at Penn State University. Personally followed the progress and worked towards the goals of a singular student in conjunction with a colleague. The student had need in math, specifically with syntax in long-form word problems. A customized plan was created for the student, who improved his accuracy with word problems from 34% to to 88% in a span of 4 months.
