MTO Contract: 2021-4091 (11.2 km Highway Improvement Project on HWY 417 near Casselman, ON)Contract value: $65 millionWorked on an 11.2 km long highway improvement project for MTO along with general contractor - Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. The project includes excavation & grading, culvert extensions, rehabilitation, asphalt paving, grinding, environmental hazard detection and other traffic control activities.• Conducted comprehensive reviews of provincial standards such as OPSS, OTM Book 7 for Traffic Control, and CAIS Manual for Site Inspection to ensure compliance with project requirements and guidelines.• Executed thorough field inspections, meticulously documenting daily site activities through detailed notes ensuring accurate and reliable documentation.• Collaborated with the contractor and project team to address any deviations verifying alignment with tender specifications and contract drawings.• Oversaw and documented construction progress, ensuring the project met all milestones.• Certified and validated accuracy for finished grades and maintained a grade book for recording elevations at required intervals.• Calculated and documented precise measurements for truckloads of topsoil and hydraulic mulch spread along highway slopes.• Monitored the installation of Steel Beam Guide Rails and verified adherence to tender specs & OPSS requirements.• Evaluated QA and QC compaction & moisture content test results against OPSS regulations.•Kept track of the materials delivered on site by collecting and maintaining the tickets for payment certificates & change orders.• Collected concrete core samples for Compression tests & RCP tests as and when required.•Participated in several health and safety meetings and offered valuable feedback for safe work areas on site.
