The experiences I have had so far working in my Brand position have been anything but traditional. On any given day, I find myself learning new jobs/positions on the fly, rising to the constant challenges that working in CPG provides. Product manager, marketing coordinator, talent licensing, and strategic planner are just a few of the hats I can wear on any given day.Working in the restaurant industry during college taught me how to work in a team environment and build relationships with coworkers. Nothing really prepared me for having a direct impact on the success of my company and the coworkers within it quite like actually working a full-time office job though. Starting from the ground level in Customer Service coming out college, I learned the value provided in paying your dues and learning your company inside and out. I proceeded to move up the ladder until I found myself in my current Brand Management position at Topps. After years in this spot, I love the daily grind of coming in and not knowing what new challenge is headed my way. The importance of staying open to new tasks and ideas is not lost on me as it is an integral part of my day to day that keeps my job fresh and allows me to be creative! I hope that everything I have worked through in my young career is just a taste of what is to come. I am staying excited and ready for what the future holds.
