Aaron Adair, Ph.D., is Professor of Theatre and Coordinator at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma; Humanities Adjunct Faculty at Southern New Hampshire University; Theatre Adjunct Faculty at Texas A&M University-Commerce; Director of Traditional Worship at First Christian Church of Plano, as well as Affiliate for MainStreet Musicals in New York. An actor/director/musician, Aaron has over thirty-five years experience in theatre and film and has taught at the secondary school, junior college, and university levels in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma for over fifteen years. He studied acting at KD Actors Conservatory of the Southwest, California State University-Fullerton, and the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York before receiving his Ph.D. in Humanities from The University of Texas at Dallas. While at the Neighborhood Playhouse, Aaron was trained and certified to teach the Sanford Meisner Technique. His other teaching and research interests include Musical Theatre, Shakespearean studies, and Film.Aaron's specialties include higher education administration, online and distance education, learning management systems, assessment management systems, adult degree completion programs, Sanford Meisner Technique, Shakespearean studies, musical theatre performance and direction, theatre studies, and choral conducting. He is a proud member of American Mensa, Ltd., where he is President of the Board of Directors of North Texas Mensa and is a past moderator of Bardolatry SIG, a group dedicated to the discussion of Shakespeare research and performance.
