Managed a team of 20 engineers responsible for ensuring the buildability of the interior and exterior components for over 30 of GM’s future vehicles (including GM's 1st autonomous vehicle). Interfaced with the Interior & Exterior Product Engineering Systems Management Team as the General Assembly Manufacturing lead. Developed and mentored team members through career development planning tools and by providing stretch assignments that aligned to their goals. Worked with global teams in China, Korea, Germany, & Brazil to ensure common processes were utilized to drive discipline in our standardized work.Notable Contributions:-Team enabled the successful launch of several new vehicles including the launch of 2 brand new major vehicle architectures.

Managed a team of 8 salary and over 100 hourly employees responsible for part of the Chevrolet Cruze’s assembly process. Ensured safety, quality and productivity goals are achieved along with analyzing performance variances in order to identify root cause and corrective action. Monitored quality metrics and develop problem-solving and continuous improvement techniques; ensure minimal defects in order to reduce costs related to potential warranty claims and in-house repairs. Mentored new hires through the onboarding process and helped guide them through their first year of service. Notable Contribution:-Implemented a tracking tool that was leveraged by the department for tracking quality performance; helping drive increase First Time Quality by 9%.

Worked on several vehicle product lines, ensuring their future designs could be manufactured safely, efficiently, and within allocated timeframes. From concept to market, worked with global teams in North America, Germany, Korea, and China to understand vehicle designs and communicated with plants globally to prevent and/or resolve potential launch issues.

Promoted to take on a 2 year international work assignment for General Motor’s European Division (Opel/Vauxhall). Worked on a team that established and managed General Motor’s first full production assembly plant in St. Petersburg Russia. Formulated and presented purchase requisitions to executive leadership in order to gain funding for projects. Played an integral role in providing training on GM standards to local Russian team. Applied interpersonal skills to gain the trust of and work with local Russian workforce during equipment modification in compliance with the local government’s regulation standards. Also worked on several other projects in Opel's Ellsemere Port Vauxhall plant.Notable Contributions:-Surpassed challenges on relocating equipment from Azambuja, Portugal to St. Petersburg, Russia; while launching the project on time. -Overcame language barriers with launch personnel, composed of seven different nationalities on site (Russian, German, Polish, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, and Americans).

Directly supervised 10 hourly employees, ensuring quality & throughput targets were met. Responsible for the development of engineering documentation required to manufacture and test the electrical details, assemblies, and systems. Collaborated with Supervisors and Project Managers in an effort to track and manage associated budgets and schedules.

Served as a lead engineer for the installation of support software and electrical controls system integration for a new assembly facility. Also appointed as the department lead to work on a cross-functional team that changed the plant’s sequencing operation, reducing the supplier’s time allotment for delivering parts from 168 hours to 2 hours.
