Econify builds the fastest websites and applications in the world, for the top media companies in the world. Whilst still carrying out software engineering duties, it's currently my role to build out the Econify team in the UK.

My time as a DevOps engineer at the Economist consisted of being embedded in several teams to encourage an ownership culture for the software we build. This involved closely pairing with fellow engineers to think about the deployment and runtime environments of our software up-front to shorten feedback loops. During this time I also had plenty of opportunity to exercise my cloud architecture skills and write some IaC, Python, NodeJS and GoLang.

During my time at Bluetel I worked mainly for two clients. Both of which had similar standard duties, such as updating stakeholders via agile ceremonies, leading on technical decisions and developing solutions.Some of my notable work at Bluetel:* Developed and architected REST API powered microservices to strangle out functionality from a legacy CMS.* Consistently implemented CICD pipelines that ensured quality through the software development lifecycle.* Added to and improved on processes, standards and practices.* Guided and paired with the team to offer architectural solutions and strategies.* Worked frequently on big integration projects to implement with third-parties for programs such as payments and smart meters.
