I was recruited by the CEO to join the organization due to a reputation for excellence and ability to effectively manage projects. In this role, I am instrumental in the development of internal property management standards in addition to regularly conducting market research and identifying key market trends and working with local realtors. ➥Oversaw multiple projects from 2012-2020 that were valued at over $20MM, requiring the management of sub-contractors, mitigation of project risk, budget alignment, and timeline/schedule management. ➥Subject matter expert in various areas including architectural design and documentation, site work, construction administration, energy efficiency and building sustainability. ➥Identified over $120K in savings for a project by utilizing local energy program rebates, responding effectively to construction damage claims, and correcting change orders.

Description: I pivoted into an executive leadership role in early 2020 which was focused on overseeing daily business operations, partnering with C-level teams to design strategic goals, and representing the organization within the community (City of Albuquerque). I led the RFP process for new/upcoming projects in addition to mentoring/leading a group of 20+ industry professionals. ➥Assumed management of a struggling project for a 21-unit multi-family/mixed-use build that was having significant time delays and architectural issues, resulting in successfully mitigating identified issues and attaining green-build rebates. ➥Project architect and general contractor for a 7-unit condominium development in a historic district located in downtown Santa Fe. The project included building partnerships with community stakeholders, the creation of 10+ project presentations, and the identification of building restrictions and/or requirements due to being in a historic district. ➥Completed planned development in approximately 1.5 years and attained a valuation of the property at completion of $16.1MM (purchased for $1MM). The property is currently valued at approximately $20.8MM (30% increase). ➥Selected as Development Architect for several builds (commercial and residential) valued at over $200MM which included projects in New York and Houston, TX.

I was brought into the organization to lead a remodeling project for a 40K square foot, 95-unit assisted living facility that included residential spaces, a chapel, and common areas. For this project, I managed a design and engineering team, ensured timeliness of project deliverables were met, and diffused escalated project issues. ➥Completed the renovation project 10% under the architecture budget in addition to leading a simultaneous renovation of a 2,500-square-foot addition to the Ward County Highway Department Office Building.

I built a successful architectural firm that supported both commercial and residential build projects including a 63-unit hotel and several award-winning residential projects. ➥Maintained approximately one custom residential project per year in addition to successfully attaining LEED certifications for several homes in the Santa Fe, NM area.
