For the remainder of the year, I am assigned to work with two experienced, more senior teachers.-Designed and taught a kindergarten science curriculum for the school's two kindergarten classes. My co-teacher and I emphasized hands-on, experiential learning in a broad, exciting, and high-energy curriculum.-After school, I coached middle school soccer and basketball teams. At this age, the students traveled and competed with other schools in an inclusive, team-focused environment. There are no cuts at this age, and we worked to create a positive experience for all skill levels.-I lived on campus and worked as a dorm parent for boarding students. There were 13 boys in our dorm that hailed from as close as Boston and as far as Mexico and China. My co-dorm parent and I were responsible for the boys' well-being and healthy living while at school.-In addition to working in the dorm, being a residential faculty member also involved planning and running weekend trips and activities for boarding students. In my few months at Fessenden, I brought boys hiking, to college sporting events, and to various local events. -
