Developed templates to address workflow challenges & needs and to provide better functionality for MIPS. Architected and executed the practice’s MIPS program through the setting of goals, providing education, and the constant monitoring of progress. Achieved score of >94 in MIPS Year 1 & Year 2. Administered & managed SQL 2017, wrote basic queries & reports, and created dozens of stored procedures for EHR templates. Was a NextGen beta client for 5.9-5.9.2 and was a regular contributor to the Believe in Better Roundtables. Also oversaw and provided HIPAA and HITECH training for all staff on an annual basis.

Contributed toward critical decisions regarding software best practices and development. Ensured member practices’ compliance for Meaningful Use, PQRS, & ACO reporting measures. Collaborated as a member of four-person taskforce team focused on usability, flexibility, and performance of the EHR application. Singularly administered 100+ user environment. Continued prior duties following Centura purchase of the practice, with an expanded role in practice leadership and cardio-vascular services. Assisted in achievement of Meaningful Use Stage 1 through physician education and monitoring measure goals. Participated in talent search and hiring process for practice director. Managed the conversion of GEMMS EHR to the NextGen EHR platform after purchase of another Cardiology practice. Developed template content in the EHR to aid physician’s transition from paper to digital charts and to address workflow needs.

Was a key player in the adaption of EHR technology from paper charts through the implementation of NextGen EHR/PM. Developed practice HIPAA procedures and policies. Developed and implemented disaster recovery plans. Managed mobile phone solutions and support for all providers and senior staff with Verizon Wireless. Assisted with practice buyout by Penrose-St. Francis/Centura Health. Transferred to similar role in the newly formed practice after buyout completed.
