After earning my Master of Science from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada, I embarked on a journey to Asia, eventually settling in Guangzhou, Southern China, where I began my business career. My entrepreneurial path started in 2008 with the launch of LDK Home, a product design and furniture brand specializing in designer furniture made from recycled materials. Over six years, I led the company’s growth from the ground up, overseeing design, manufacturing, and global marketing. We successfully showcased our brand at numerous international furniture fairs and home shows.In 2014, I sold my shares in LDK Home to focus on another venture in the F&B industry—a chain of Irish and Canadian bars. At our peak, we operated four Irish pubs and four Canadian bar and restaurant locations across Southern China. Both brands were highly successful, eventually developing them into franchise models.In late 2017, I returned to Canada with my family, which inspired my most recent venture: Deccor Kitchen Elements, in the kitchen and bath industry. Supported by The Komodo Group and its founder, CEO Ross Duffy, I helped launch their brand, Zomodo, in Canada. Since 2017, I have successfully established both the distribution business and the Zomodo brand in the Canadian market. Our operations are headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, with a second warehouse and office opened in Vancouver, BC, in 2022. The Zomodo brand is now featured in over 150 kitchen and bath showrooms across Canada, and we recently made our debut at KBIS 2024 in Las Vegas.Currently, I divide my time between managing the Canadian distribution business and overseeing international sales for The Komodo Group, with a focus on expanding global distribution partnerships for the Zomodo brand. I am based part-time in both Munich, Germany, and Vancouver, Canada.
