- Visualization team lead for software integration and development effort, managing requirements, estimation, scheduling and tasking for a team of five developers along with mitigating the difficulty of 3rd-party “dynamic” code-base integration- Lead of an in-house “AppStore” / Code-Exchange project from inception, through requirements solicitation, planning and development and on to its current pilot-production status, managing a small but frequently changing team of contributors and developers and taking responsibility for budget and resource management of the project- Co-lead of the ‘Software Engineering at Lincoln’ study and discussion group for fostering the practice of Software Engineering in a challenging, government R&D focused environment- Planning board member for Lincoln’s annual ‘Software Engineering Symposium’ to promote best practice adoption and knowledge transfer among our growing number of developers- Java message processor for ingesting and augmenting high-rate record receipt for MySQL storage and retrieval, based around personal contributions made to the Apache Camel project and utilizing BeanIO and MyBatis for message parsing and database interaction- Java development for Lucene/Oracle based custom software designed to ingest, index and provide faceted search and custom analysis capabilities for large amounts of textual data- Java enterprise messaging integration, bridging custom XML backend processing with front-end JavaScript development of multiple visualization tools to display high-rate, mission-critical sensor data in a customizable user facing web-portal, including experimental use of CometD based WebSockets for efficient browser/server messaging- Java and C++ development of custom mobile Android applications focused on enabling robust and delay-tolerant ad-hoc mesh wireless networking (patent pending)- Java and JSP customization of Liferay Java-based open source content management system
