Two decades in the protective services, with concentration on customer service in a healthcare setting. I have currently worked for approximately 15 years at Lake Health. During this time, I have worked myself up the ranks where I currently hold the position of Security Manager and Safety Specialist. I have certifications from FEMA, Homeland Security, NFPA – First Responder and New Mexico Tech. I am a current member of IAHSS. My current focus is toward Occupational Safety in which I am currently working on acquiring certificates within this field. My accomplishments thus far are that during the 2014 Joint Commission survey, we had 0 findings in the EOC documentation library. I have created a electronic database for fire drills, interior rounding, exterior rounding, risk assessments, Hazard vulnerability, emergency preparedness drills. I also in 2013, created a electronic activity log for security to capture data which has helped in tracking issues that have assisted the I3, Environment of Care and Administration. I have provided software to offices so that they can use the cameras that are installed within their facility to help reduce patient waiting times and monitor parking lots.Current goals are to continue personal and professional growth through networking opportunities and membership opportunities in the related occupation.
