Current• Managed the Infrastructure and Technical project as part of the Nexus initiative to bring the Epic EHR (Electronic Health Record) system and other standardized applications to their 12 hospitals and 179 ambulatory sites• Responsible for a $20.7 Million budget for hardware and services to implement all the server, storage and networking infrastructure necessary to support the Health System’s Nexus initiative• Lead technical team members to take an architectural design for the infrastructure and translate that into engineering specifications and then lead them to implement the required hardware• Conducted discovery and planning sessions to identify business processes around Caché® database management in order to implement the appropriate infrastructure• Hosted weekly meetings to keep Senior Technology and Nexus Leadership apprised of the project status as well as escalate concerns and risks• Implemented the infrastructure for 22 applications that add on to the core Epic EHR system, which included over 60 servers utilizing A10 load balancing technologies between primary and backup data centers• The go live for the Epic infrastructure was praised by Senior Nexus Leadership as a successful “non‐issue”• Lead the installation and implementation of a new application virtualization platform, RDSH, in under 4 months, and completed on schedule, overcoming the technical shortcomings of RDSH• Assumed the leadership role of the myDesktop VDI project and met the aggressive timeline initiating new deployments to SHMG in under 1 month, and then deploying to over 1,600 workstations in 1.5 months
