CurrentAs the Program Manager for the Western Australian Community Resource Network (WACRN), I oversee the operations, development, and strategic direction of a statewide network of over 100 Community Resource Centres (CRCs) in rural, remote, and regional areas of Western Australia.These independently owned and operated not-for-profit centres are pivotal to their communities, providing access to essential government and community services, fostering economic and business development, and promoting social connectivity.In my role, I work to:✅️ Enhance Service Delivery: Ensure CRCs effectively deliver training, education, and community-based programs tailored to local needs.✅️ Support Regional Development: Facilitate initiatives that boost local economies, support small businesses, and strengthen social infrastructure.✅️ Build Capacity and Capability: Provide CRC teams with resources, training, and guidance to improve their operations and deliver high-quality services to their communities.✅️ Foster Collaboration: Partner with government agencies, local businesses, and community organisations to broaden the impact and reach of the CRCs.✅️ Monitor and Evaluate Performance: Assess the effectiveness of programs and services delivered by CRCs, ensuring accountability and alignment with strategic goals.CRCs are essential hubs of activity and connection, offering:➡️ Public access to computers, internet, and videoconferencing facilities.➡️ Printing, photocopying, and document support services.➡️ Training and professional development opportunities.➡️ Information on government services, community events, and local initiatives.➡️ Business support, including training and facilities for entrepreneurs.
