Responsible for the overall performance of the Geology team in Australia; specifically to lead and manage the resources, utilisation and project profitability of the team. This included business development, budgeting, recruitment, overseeing the day to day management of client projects and local consultants plus acquiring resources from the global resource pool.

Responsible for the overall performance of the Western Australian team, both advisory and technology (software) consulting. This included business development, budgeting, recruitment, day to day management of the office and client project management.

Involved in a broad range of resource projects including estimation and evaluation of gold, iron ore, base metal and industrial mineral deposits throughout Australia, Asia, South America and Africa. Work has included extensive geological and resource modelling work, due diligence investigations, resource drill-out planning and management, and data interrogation.Provided CP (JORC) and QP (NI43-101) reporting signoff.

Involvement in a broad range of resource projects including estimation and evaluation of gold, base metal and industrial mineral deposits throughout Australia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Indonesia and Africa. Work included extensive geological and resource modelling work, due diligence investigations, resource drill-out planning and management, and data interrogation.

Worked on the Darlot and Centenary deposits at the Darlot Gold Project. Responsibilities included overseeing resource/reserve definition drilling, quality assessment/control (QA/QC) for assaying and databases, resource modeling and estimation. Other duties have included designing drill programmes (both surface and underground), core logging, monitoring an ESG seismic system, and general underground production issues such as face mapping, grade control and wall mapping. Assisted the Group Evaluation Geologist with development planning for the Cowal Gold Project in NSW.

Based at the Darlot Gold Mine, I was originally involved in the drill definition of the Darlot underground orebodies with the main tasks being RC and diamond drill supervision and logging, and basic polygonal resource calculations. In late 1994, I began looking after the Warrida Well Project area in the southern Archaean Yandal Belt. This project covered approximately 800km2 of ‘grass-roots’ exploration ground, made up of a number of Joint venture and wholly-owned properties. The main targets were shear-hosted gold mineralisation similar to that at Mt. McClure and Bronzewing to the north, Leinster-style nickel sulphides and Teutonic Bore-style base metals. In mid-late 1996, I was directly involved in the planning of the programme which discovered the +2.5Moz Centenary Deposit at Darlot and the subsequent definition of the orebody through feasibility and into production. Duties included supervising the project (with up to 30 contractors and 7 drill rigs), designing drill programmes, presentations to stockbrokers and bankers, geological and orebody modeling, RC and Diamond logging, geotechnical logging, geophysical interpretations and budgeting. In mid-97 I took on the role of Acting Senior Exploration Geologist which involved supervising the entire Darlot Exploration Project, which covered an area of approximately 1,100km2 in the southern Archaean Yandal and Dingo Range Greenstone Belts and included the Darlot and Centenary orebodies.
