From collaborating with the teams/tech/applications/vendors that generate data to engineering, to transformation and warehousing, and finally to downstream BI, ML, and business applications – my expertise lies in understanding nearly every aspect of that trajectory. The “Data SME” – that is me. As for platforms and tech, these are continuously moving and evolving so having an agnostic approach to what will be successful and sustainable is critical.LEADERSHIPI have over a decade of experience leading data teams in multiple continents. Aside from a 6 month training in 2012, my experience in this area has come from my day-to-day interactions ever since I hired my first BI Developer in 2010. Since then, all aspects of team building, recruiting, career mentorship, delegation, promotion preparation and relationship building have steadily matured. As the dialogue with senior leadership and the C-suite have increased in recent roles, my ability to read the room has complemented my soft skillset.
