Provides accounting support required for maintenance of accurate financial records and correct processing of financial transactions. Reviews source documents for accuracy and completeness and ensures that all transactions are properly documented. In addition, I provide administration for the grants process throughout all stages including receiving, assessing, tracking, payment/check requests, documenting all inquiries and/or proposals; assuring that submitted documentation meets all grantors requirements. I also prepare progress reports, ensure compliance with grant regulations, educate staff on policies, and prepare financial reports. Provide accounting and clerical support to the senior accountant. Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements. Review and process employee payroll and expense reports weekly. Carry out a variety of bookkeeping activities for a portfolio of clients. Provide phone and clerical support for the rest of the office.
