Madison Technology hired me to consult on their AWS cloud initiatives. The goal was to take them from ad-hoc organically implemented stacks in AWS to a well-architected solution which could drive results while staying cost-efficient.During the consultation period, we implemented both an education program to better understand the technology and delivered an architected design, to have a baseline of AWS best practices.

Promoted from IT Manager into the Executive Suite to shape the technology group and drive oversight for business analysis, web development and IT support covering Dealer Solutions, CarsGuide.com.au and Manheim. Serving as a mentor, I directed projects for 30 staff located across Australia, India, Philippines and Vietnam, while leading budget management of $2M+. This allowed me to pioneer strategic solutions catered to automotive franchises and manufacturers (Hyundai, Toyota and Ford) and technical operations aimed at improving business objectives. ➜ KEY ACHIEVEMENTS✔Served as Technology Advisor for multiple Cox business units – Manheim Australia and CarsGuide.com.au.✔Recognised as the executive level guide and consultant for XTime and Sellmycar.com.au. ✔Applied relevant methods to key business drivers, allowing for growth in a highly competitive market. ✔Guided P&L management to execute strategies that disrupt conventional business models.✔Led operations surrounding product development, people management, process improvement and infrastructure solutions for desktop and mobile applications and design; architected a scalable hosting solution for 1200+ client websites. ✔Doubled the number of clients the website hosted, growing base from 600 to 1200 within a 2-year timeframe. ✔Shortened development of sites from 35 hours to 4 hours in a 24-month span. ✔Planned and executed technology strategy for CarsGuide.com.au infrastructure to bring them out of News Corp.✔Transformed the business from traditional data centre-focused products to scalable cloud hosted platforms, doubling the number of clients and enhancing delivery of websites within an hour by a trained operator as opposed to a full developer.✔Restructured developed practices from waterfall to Agile without additional investment over budget.✔Reduced total expenditure of IT spend vs. budget by $10K per month. ✔Pioneered team project lifecycles to build newer products launched for the business.
