These projects could vary and could range from the planning, budgeting and coordination of one-off music events, late night club events, private membership club openings, art installations whilst also leading on pitches for new Las Vegas-based performance spaces or leading on the pre-production planning and project & event building of a new next-gen opera working in partnership with the English National Opera and Manchester International Festival. For the studio, I managed all financial administration and accounting upkeep, working closely with our accountancy firm to ensure everything was as it should be for a new growing company. This included all invoicing, VAT returns: corporation taxes, pension payments and the monthly payroll for both me and the company's director, Gideon and any freelance/part-time contractors. For Block9, I worked alongside Gideon as part of the senior event management team in liaising and booking all talent for our five stages on-site at Glastonbury Festival. I lived on-site on the farm for the month leading up to the festival with a hard hat and high vis; I oversaw the final stages of the build and welcomed our vast team of several hundred crew to the site as they arrived throughout the month to work for both the pre-prod and the Live event. My day-to-day could see me administer artist and guest ticketing, leading the social media & press team on all thing’s coms-related ahead of the festival, feeding back on artwork and artist billing throughout the festival or in the end, getting up the ladder myself and finishing the set dressing when the occasion called for it. A huge vast undertaking but the most beneficial experience both personally and professionally. Show less

I was on call seven days a week to problem solve any issues that may have arisen with either the show or the nightly incoming audiences. I visited the tour weekly checking in on all departments and I worked closely with the production manager to ensure all production moves from city to city ran smoothly, within budget and ensured all production staff were booked and confirmed well in advance. My role saw me put in place and negotiate the second tour of the production that was due to go out in May 2020 whilst also negotiating all creative team and full company agreements. I communicated weekly and kept all investors up to date with production information including box office reports and production news. I was the first point of contact for the public. If for any reason an audience member needed to speak to the producer, I was the productions representative and worked directly with both theatres and the general public to resolve any issues or complaints in relation to the show.
