I started Blokable in 2016. At Blokable, we created a disruptive housing product and solution that transformed traditional construction methods into efficient manufacturing processes. The product and delivery method were leveraged into a business model that aligned the incentives for cost reduction and a wealth creation model that served market rate and affordable housing development - a real solution to the housing crisis. I led the company’s fundraising and financing efforts, securing $35 Million from notable investors such as Vulcan Capital, Kapor Capital, Revolution Ventures, Third Sphere, Building Ventures, and others. I secured land and financing and developed multiple projects in Washington, California, and Colorado, secured sites and financing for manufacturing facilities and corporate offices in Washington and California, and led the multi-year execution of our vision and strategy to revolutionize the development of multi-family housing.Blokable designed, engineered, and manufactured energy-efficient buildings that outperformed market standards, reducing operating costs by up to 65%. Our pioneering work was recognized in a breakthrough technical report published by the National Renewal Energy Lab which indicated our model had the capacity to reduce Greenhouse Gases by 60%, construction vehicle miles traveled by 67%, and construction material waste by 91% by 2030. We built a fantastic team and influenced the national discourse on housing solutions, advocating for technological innovation and legislative changes. The projects and communities we developed and built brought individuals and families off the street and into safe, secure, comfortable, and permanent housing
  • Amazon
    Senior Manager, Product Management
    Amazon Apr 2014 - Nov 2015
    Seattle, Wa, Us
I played a pivotal role in supporting the launch of Amazon Go and Amazon Books. Influencing strategic direction, contributing to Amazon's overarching product management strategy, and recruiting and onboarding a fast-growing team, I served in mission-critical roles in one of Amazon’s biggest strategic investments: physical retail. During my tenure, I served as a Product Manager for Amazon Go, the precursor to "Just Walk Out" cashier-less retail technology and experience. Through extensive research and analysis of internal data and top-performing grocery stores nationwide, I developed the product assortment strategy and selection, pricing strategies, and shelf allocation within a tight timeline, unblocking lab creation and product testing for JWO technology. Following the experience with Go, I led product management efforts for Amazon Books and the development and launch of Amazon's first hardware/software and retail store. We started with a team of three people in March of 2015 and launched Amazon’s first integrated physical retail store eight months later. This involved managing a team and maintaining confidentiality for this high-visibility, high-impact initiative. At Amazon Books, I owned the delivery of Amazon’s first internally developed point-of-sale hardware and software, price check hardware and software, store security, planogram software development, in-store marketing, and music, and magazine sales. By owning critical operational aspects and fostering internal partnerships across various teams, including Prime, Payments, Music, and Amazon Lab126, I brought internal and external resources together to help open the doors to a highly visible and strategically critical initiative on an extremely aggressive timeline.
