I was given the responsibility of developing and writing new procedures for titration and instrument methods, researching new products for future investments, as well as, requesting quotes and ordering new products for the plant from various suppliers such as: MSCDirect, Fastenal, VWR, NCLabs and Hach. Additionally, I was responsible for giving plant personnel a demonstration of capability test by performing and reading microbiological vessels and myself running bacterial tests on multiple occasions. Moreover, I was able to set-up the Hach WIMS client for plant personnel and created a bench sheet for easy data entry that contains complex calculations. Furthermore, I reorganized the lab and did inventory on biological equipment, biological media, chemical reagents and glassware. I was also invited to attend a meeting with upper level management for updating the Chlorine Process Hazard Assessment and Risk Management Plan to U.S. EPA standards.
